The magical world of Disney!

From Awesome David
Monday, 9th October - Thursday, 12th October
We had three fabulous days in the theme parks. There was lots of laughter, a few screams, the occasional heated disagreement, and heaps and heaps of wonder.
Disneyland, and its sister park, California Adventure create a wild ride through the imagination, taking its patrons through almost 100 years of Disney creations. We went from Brer Rabbit and the Critters of Splash Mountain, by Fantasyland and the Disney princesses, to Indiana Jones and Captain Jack Sparrow and the Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Wars. In the other park there was A Bug's Life and Lightning McQueen and the Cars crew, and even Guardians of the Galaxy as the most recent addition.
The highlight for me was the evening shows. They were absolutely spectacular! Fantasmic was a light and sound extravaganza, mixing the real and the imaginary using lasers, smoke, fountains, fire, animatronics, puppetry, and actors.
It is tiring though. By the end we were all Disney-ed out; ready to get back into the tranquility of the National Parks. We won't quickly forget our time there.
